About Tanzania

Migrating wildebeests, volcanic craters, prehistoric temples. Tanzania is a red-dusted land of wild wonders. Watch predators lounge lazily in trees, and hike sleeping volcanoes to their grass-covered craters. Serengeti National Park takes you from crocodile-infested marshes to treeless plains before giving way to 1.5 million wildebeests stomping in time over grassy hills. Visit Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the “eighth wonder of the world,” where gazelles and zebras tramp past Olduvai Gorge’s ancient ruins towards the sunken sanctuary of Ngorongoro Crater. Our small group Tanzania safari tours take you from the pink-tinged reefs of Zanzibar to the turquoise waters of Lake Manyara. Rare monkeys pose for pictures at Jozani National Forest Reserve, and Arusha revitalizes you with the bitter-sweet scents of its sprawling coffee plantations. Let Tanzania sweep you off your feet with colourful markets, big game wildlife, and million-year-old hominids.
Our leaders exude professionalism, knowledge, and enthusiasm.

Frequently Asked Questions

  •
Do you need a visa to travel to Tanzania?
Travellers from Australia, Britain, the USA, and the EU are required to have a tourist visa upon entering Tanzania, in addition to their valid passport. Your passport must be good for at least 6 months after the intended date of entry. Citizens from dozens of other countries are permitted entry into Tanzania without a visa. If your country is not listed above, check with your local government to see if you qualify for visa-free entry.
  •
    Is Tanzania safe?
In general, Tanzania is safe for tourists travelling on safari. Petty thefts such as purse snatching and pickpocketing are common, but violent crimes are rare provided you stay with your tour guide. Do not go out alone or after dark, and do not go to isolated areas. Leave valuables at your hotel, stick with your group, and you should be fine.
  •
When is the best time to visit Tanzania
The best time to visit Tanzania is June to October, during its long dry season. Wildlife viewing is at its maximum potential during this time, especially as the June-July wildebeest migration begins. If you want smaller crowds and fewer tourists, consider travelling during the short dry season, from December to February. The wildebeest migration will be over, but their calving begins in January and continues through February, offering unique viewing opportunities.
