We have a FULL-TIME position available in our OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, for someone who is highly motivated, reliable and enthusiastic. You would be joining a dedicated team of passionate travellers.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Excellent organizational skills. You have great time management skills and are able to multi-task as you move through different areas of your job—including securing hotels, transport and guides for our tours. You can work under pressure whilst ensuring accuracy.
  • A devoted team player with the capacity to be self-directed and driven! Your team matters to you, and you enjoy partnering with and working alongside passionate individuals who share your values.
  • Someone who is keen to learn and has an appetite for knowledge. You are excited to keep updated with new products and thrive on continuing to build an intimate knowledge of our product.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and comfortable in a web-based environment.

Your Role:

  • Ensure all block bookings are held with our suppliers, with careful attention to detail.
  • Communicate details with the Adventures Abroad team.
  • Help maximize tour profits through contract negotiation and buying efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure a smooth client experience.
  • Seek out new suppliers/DMCs in destinations new to us.

What You Bring To The Table:

  • Travel experience - either independent or industry related.
  • Previous experience with booking hotels, transport and guides and working with local DMC's in various countries.
  • Travel industry education and/or first-hand travel experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

02. Flight Consultant

Position: Flight Consultant

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada

Job Description:

Flight Consultant

Would you like to join a successful travel-industry leader that specializes in worldwide group tours to over 140 countries? We have a FULL-TIME position available in our FLIGHT DEPARTMENT, for someone who is highly motivated, reliable and enthusiastic. You would be joining a dedicated team of passionate travellers.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Flights Experience. You have demonstrated experience in booking flights/issuing tickets and working knowledge of a flight GDS such as SABRE.
  • Excellent organizational skills. You have great time management skills and are able to multi-task as you move through different areas of your job—including handling new flight quotes, follow ups, and booking flight itineraries and issuing tickets. You can work under pressure whilst ensuring accuracy.
  • A devoted team player with the capacity to be self-directed and driven! Your team matters to you, and you enjoy partnering with and working alongside passionate individuals who share your values.
  • Someone who is keen to learn and has an appetite for knowledge. You are excited to keep updated with new products and thrive on continuing to build an intimate knowledge of our product.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with a dedication to customer service. You have great time management skills and are able to multi-task as you move through different areas of your job—including handling new enquiries, follow ups, and processing documentation. You understand that the relationship with the customer is paramount, and you are committed to an exceptional standard of customer service. You can work under pressure whilst ensuring accuracy.
  • Someone who is keen to learn and has an appetite for knowledge. You are excited to keep updated with new products and thrive on continuing to build an intimate knowledge of our product.
  • Sales Experience. You have demonstrated experience working in a sales environment and have knowledge of the travel industry.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and comfortable in a web-based environment.

What You Bring To The Table:

  • Previous experience in travel sales preferred and/or experience within the travel industry.
  • Travel industry education and/or first-hand travel experience.
  • Experience working in sales & customer service across phone, email, and live chat-based customer service.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

Your Role:

  • Draw on your proven sales performance to convert enquiries into bookings.
  • Ensure all bookings are processed with careful attention to detail.
  • Communicate details of our product through email, telephone, and online chat.
  • Develop long-lasting connections with your customers, creating referrals and repeat business.
  • Channel your love of travel and your personal experiences abroad to guide and sell our product.
  • Help maximize and grow sales, facilitate inbound/outbound sales calls/chats and web enquiries, track and following-up sales leads.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure a smooth client experience.

Position: International Tour Leader

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada

Job Description:

  • Extensive travel experience in the developing world.
  • Knowledge of geography / history / politics / current affairs.
  • A university degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of a foreign language.

Other Information: If you meet some or all of these criteria, then we may be looking for you! You must be willing to travel for several months at a time on a contractual basis.
