Israel Group Tours – Exploring the Holy Land

On our Israel group tours, travellers will have a chance to delve into the multi-layered history of this complex country. Discovering this land, with many religions considering Jerusalem as their holiest city, necessitates a slower pace to be able to understand how everyday life here is closely intertwined with religion.

Dome of the Rock Temple Mount Jerusalem Israel The Dome of the Rock, with its distinctive golden dome, is and Islamic shrine located in Jerusalem’s old city, atop the Temple Mount and was finished construction in 691 AD.

There is more to Israel than religion though, and on our Israel group tours, we’ll explore the diverse geography of this country at the end of the Mediterranean Sea, with the Red Sea to its south.

Israel’s Galilee and Carmel regions are mountainous, but there are also fertile areas, such as the Jezreel Valley. The Jordan River has cut deep valleys, which contributes to the stark, beautiful scenery of Israel.

One of the most interesting geographical features in Israel is the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth at 430 metres below sea level. Little plant life grows in or around it, but it is famed for its mud, rich in minerals, and bathers enjoy the Sea for its tremendous buoyancy.

Those who embark on our Israel group tours will experience this complex land, its deep history, touring many of its fascinating museums, desert landscapes, modern, bustling cities and many of the literally dozens of Biblical sites in this holy land.
