Walking Clubs Program

For travellers who enjoy walking, but want a complete cultural journey - not just a hiking trip

Why This Program Exists

Adventures Abroad's Walking Clubs Program brings together our decades of small-group travel expertise with the camaraderie and spirit of organized walking clubs.

Whether you're a seasoned walker or simply enjoy exploring the world on foot, our carefully designed itineraries combine cultural discovery with rewarding walks and shared experiences.
Why This Program Exists

Cultural Walking Journeys, Not Hiking Expeditions

Plenty of operators run hard-walking holidays. Ours are built for people who love being on their feet — and also want the history, the food, the architecture, and a comfortable hotel at the end of the day.

Expert Tour Leaders

Expert Tour Leaders

An experienced Adventures Abroad tour leader travels with the group throughout, supported by private English-speaking local guides.
Culture On Foot

Culture On Foot

Guided walks through capitals, UNESCO World Heritage towns, and national landscapes — with the stories behind them.
Comfortable Pace

Comfortable Pace

Easy-to-moderate walking with comfortable, well-located hotels, daily breakfast, and door-to-door private coach travel between stops.

3 Steps From Idea To Departure

We handle everything. You simply recruit participants.

Step 1

Tell Us Your Event or Destination

An IVV Olympiad, a walking festival, or simply a part of the world your members keep talking about. We work with you to fine tune an itinerary that you and your members will love.
Step 2

We Design & Operate the Tour

Itinerary, hotels, transport, guides, and on-tour leadership — all handled by Adventures Abroad, end to end.
Step 3

You Recruit Participants

Share the itinerary with your members. We take care of every booking and every question from there.

In collaboration with Adventures Abroad, Canada's Walking Club is offering an exciting 16-day walking-centric tour that starts in Tampere, Finland following the IVV Finland Olympiad, and continues to Sweden, Denmark & Norway from August 18th to September 2nd. Optional hotel nights can be added pre-Olympiad to cover your hotel needs while attending the Finland Olympiad and hotel nights can also be added at the end of the tour - to spend time doing walks in and around Oslo, Norway.

Where Would Your Members Like to Walk?

The Olympiad circuit is just one example. We design custom walking journeys around any event or destination — a regional Volkssport festival, a marathon, a marching event, or simply a country your club has always wanted to explore together.

Any Event
Any Destination
Always On Foot

Since 1987, Adventures Abroad has run small-group cultural tours on every continent. Wherever your club wants to walk next, we can build the journey around it — and make the cultural encounters along the way the heart of the trip.
