Customer-Initiated Cancellations


Cancellations More Than 120 Days Prior to Departure
  • Your deposit is transferable to any other tour (funds cannot be transferred to an existing booking) or can be converted to a general credit voucher for a $100 per person change fee. Credit vouchers must be applied to a new booking within 12 months of the voucher creation date. The actual travel date for your new tour can be beyond that 12-month period.

Cancellations Less Than 120 Days Prior to Departure
  • All monies paid are 100% non-refundable and non-transferable
  • No exceptions apply regardless of circumstances


Cancellation Requirements and Restrictions


Notification Process
  • Written notification required immediately upon decision to cancel (email preferred)
  • Name changes are not permitted under any circumstances

No Partial Refunds
  • No refunds for unused trip arrangements (voluntarily missed meals, sightseeing, transport, etc.)
  • No refunds for trip members who do not complete any portion of the itinerary for any reason
  • All air tickets are non-refundable and valid only for flights indicated

 

Adventures Abroad-Initiated Cancellations


1. Cancellation Due to Unforeseen Circumstances (Force Majeure)


We may cancel departures due to circumstances beyond our control, including:
  • War, civil unrest, terrorism
  • Pandemics or disease outbreaks
  • Natural disasters (hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions)
  • Other catastrophic events commonly referred to as "force majeure"

Cancellation More Than 90 Days Prior to Departure
  • 100% credit offered for all deposits and payments
  • Credits applicable to any future scheduled or custom tour
  • Time limits may apply to credit usage

Cancellation Within 90 Days of Departure
  • All funds paid are non-refundable if cancellation occurs due to unforeseen circumstances listed above
  • Travel Insurance Strongly Recommended: Most comprehensive cancellation and interruption policies include provisions protecting against such losses
  • Rare Exception: We may offer to postpone your trip to another departure date of the same tour within 12 months (full payment remains non-refundable)

 

2. Cancellation Due to Insufficient Enrolment


Our Commitment
  • We will endeavour to find an alternative tour for you:
    • Same tour on a different date, or
    • Different tour of your choice

If No Alternative is Acceptable
  • Full refund of all deposits constitutes complete settlement
  • We are not responsible for incidental expenses including:
    • Visas or vaccinations
    • Independently purchased airfare
    • Any other compensation or expenses

Notification Timeline
  • Cancellation notice will be provided no later than 90 days prior to departure

  • Trip cancellation and interruption
