About Jordan

Prepare for a true Arabian adventure. Travellers to Jordan get to explore a country full of archaeological treasures, remote villages, ancient tombs and red-sand deserts inhabited by the nomadic Bedouin. The food scene in Jordan is also an absolute highlight! Sample stuffed falafel, warm sesame bread sandwiches and hearty servings of mansaf — a slow-cooked lamb dish served with golden rice and creamy yogurt. On our small group Jordan tours, we’ll take you into the heart of this profoundly beautiful country. Enjoy its staggering history, cultural treasures, millennia-old ruins and see why Jordan is one of the most captivating destinations in the Middle East. Maximize your trip to the region with our combination of Israel and Jordan tours or Egypt, Jordan and Israel tours.

Frequently Asked Questions

  •
Do you need a visa to travel to Jordan?
The majority of foreign nationals require a visa to enter Jordan. This includes citizens of the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the EU.
  •
    Is Jordan safe?
Despite widespread unease about travelling to the region, Jordan is considered a very safe place to travel. Crime levels are low and petty crimes (such as theft and pickpocketing) are relatively rare due to the harsh punishments for those caught. However, you should still take the same precautions you would in your home country. Demonstrations and political gatherings are common in Jordan and should be avoided. They can occur at short notice, often in downtown Amman and in the centres of other towns and cities following Friday midday prayers.
  •
When is the best time to visit Jordan
The best time of year to visit Jordan is Spring or autumn. During these two seasons, the days are warm and temperatures can reach the high 20°Cs (although you should pack for the cooler temperatures at night).
Summer is generally the least popular time to visit due to the hot weather (temperatures creep into the 40°Cs), which makes trekking and sightseeing somewhat uncomfortable.
