This adventure takes us to a land that has been known to inspire and astound. When gazing up at the Corinthian columns of Meknes we can easily imagine these stone structures being responsible for holding up the blue sky above the ancient city. The closest we can ever come to reliving times of such notoriety is by combining the country's remnants of ancient civilizations with a little imagination. While in Casablanca, it's easy to visualize the 30, 000 workers and craftsmen busy constructing the Hassan II Mosque as we look above our heads at the awe-inspiring ceilings. It's hard not to be spellbound by the magic when we watch the dunes of the Merzouga change colour during sunset. Thinking of the Middle Atlas region as somewhere we have been before is a forgivable misconception because the land contains so many details that make up the our idea of perfection.

14 day tour was just about right length of time. Loved the sand dunes - spectacular! Really a highlight! Also souq in Fes and the two dinners we had in family homes in Fes.
Dorothy S. (Port Hope, ON, CA)
I really appreciated being able to see and do many things such as camel rides, visits to artisan factories, etc that would have been difficult to do as a person travelling alone. In that respect, I feel that Adventures Abroad put together a lively and stimulating tour with some lovely treats and perks.
Gregory S. (Zionsville, IN, US)
All excursions were excellent. A very thorough coverage of Morocco. Superb driver and helper. Awesome food and dining experiences. I'd be honored to travel with Claude again. All the Adventures Abroad Tour Leaders have been exceptional and Claude was one of the best. Very nice trip.
Hans P. (Toronto, ON, CA)
So many excursions we enjoyed. Fes was terrific, and so was Essaouira. The camel trip was awesome -- just what we were hoping for. The sidetour to Ait Ben Haddou was very special, given my traveling companion's involvement in the film industry. Very comfortable transportation. Great tour. We learnt a lot and experienced the country, which is what we signed up for.
Hugh C. (Corner Brook, NL, CA)
Enjoyed all excursions. I particularly enjoyed the visit to Volubilis (Roman site), partially because the local guide was excellent. The local guides were very good in all cases. We were very pleased with this tour, it was well organized, the tour leader was excellent and the price was reasonable.
Jenna C. (Vancouver, BC, CA)
I enjoyed the Medina walking tour in Fes, the camel ride in the Sahara, the tour of palaces in Marrakesh, and the tour of Aid Ben Haddou. Very comfortable and clean transportation. Loved the food everywhere. Our tour leader was very friendly, very accommodating, intelligent, capable, patient, good speaking skills, and diplomatic. Very detail-oriented to ensure that logistics went smoothly across the board. Local knowledge was very good. The hotels were very good. Very professional, well-organized tour. Careful attention to detail, and selection of accommodations and staff. Very positive impression.

Move over Victor! We consider we truly "lucked in" with Yvette, i.e. not only a culturally knowledgeable, insightful Tour Leader, clearly passionate and enthusiastic about North Africa, but a warm, very conscientious leader always preparing us for the next stage of our journey.
Linda D. (Moorpark, CA, US)
Your company provides excellent value and itineraries that capture the heart of the countries.
Lucy Y. (Ashburn, VA, US)
My experience on this trip exceeded my expectations. Now I know first- hand why so many people in our group have taken multiple trips with you. And I plan to become one of them. On my next trip, if someone asks "Is this your first trip with Adventures Abroad" I ll be able to say "No, I ve travelled with them before!"
Martha S. (Prescot, ON, CA)
Our tour of the souks in Fes was amazing . The trip to the Sahara sand dunes and the camel ride was a real highlight that should not be missed.
Mary M. (Calgary, CA)
The meal plan was very good. We had some super meals.... who will forget the walk along the beach in Essaouira under the stars to a fabulous sea food restaurant with the biggest prawns that any of us has ever seen?
Roy and June S. (Mississauga, CA)
The 4X4 ride on the desert and the camel ride on the dunes were the highlights. The drive through the Atlas Mountains was great. The historic buildings were also very interesting. We especially enjoyed walking to a local restaurant and trying local dishes arranged by our tour guide. He (Andres) offered advice on what to do with your spare time. We needed some medication and he found a pharmacy and helped us get the right medication. Many used an ATM and he was also helpful finding these for people.
Susan R. (Berkeley, CA, US)
Yvette in particular has such a wonderful and deep appreciation of the people and region and such an unfailingly great sense of humor. I came away with enough book and film recommendations to keep me going for a year and with a host of funny stories to chuckle over. She really gave thought to what individuals in the group needed and would enjoy and varied details correspondingly as we went along.
