Client Testimonials

"We enjoyed all the excursions. The cherry blossoms were at their peak and were spectacular. As we traveled further south, the azaleas put on a pretty good show too.

Stephen Scrogings did a superb job of giving us the culinary flavor of each city/area visited. The group really appreciated that.

Loved the bullet train. The buses were very comfortable and only one bus smelled from cigarette smoke, but the A/C cleared that up. Boats and taxis were very good and contributed to getting a real feel for the country and its people.

Stephen went out of his way to make sure that everyone was happy. He made sure to spend some one-on-one time with each person in the group during the trip. He did an amazing job of making arrangements for those of us who were continuing to travel in Japan after the tour. He saw everyone off from the hotel and made sure everyone got into their taxi to their destination on the last day.

"I especially loved the train travel, but was happy everything was arranged for us. The day we went to Hakone was a travel experience par excellence. Good thing our bags were sent ahead. Riding trains, funiculars and ropeways as well as a bus was fun."

"Robert Kruse is a young man but he directed the tour with great maturity. He was very knowledgeable, informative and concerned for our safety and comfort. He is an asset to Adventures Abroad.

We enjoyed most of the excursions, but in particular Petra and our trip in the desert by jeep and camel. We enjoyed the sunset and our dinner in the Bedouin tent.

Buses used in both Jordan and Israel were very comfortable. Drivers were punctual and outstanding. Jeeps were rough but that is to be expected, they were fun. The camels too were fun, an experience to remember.

"The museums were very good, and of course the ruins of the ancient cities, particularly in Palmyra. The Noria water wheels were very photogenic, and the Grand Bazaar (Souq) in Aleppo is unforgettable.

Helped us find ATM's that worked, physical help for anyone needing it, always available. Ian is one of the best guides I have had on my many trips to foreign countries over many years.

"Rob Kruse is one of your treasures! His good humour and hospitality makes everyone feel included. Everything works with Rob and if it doesn't (and that is rare) it is because no one could make it work. We would travel anywhere, anytime with Rob. Long may he lead!"

Paul, Ann and Laughlin S. (Mont-Royal, QC) on Spain and Morocco Tour

"We wanted a small group tour that emphasized the local flavor of Italy. As this was our first trip to Europe, having a guide was important. I did extensive online research and Adventures Abroad was highly rated by National Geographic.

We always knew when and where to meet and we packed so much into each and every day. We are spoiled and want to tour with Victor Romagnoli again.

"Yvette Haakmeester asked our preferences on a number of things--called ahead and arranged things for people (hammams, fantasias, meals, etc.) I was particularly impressed that, in a country where women can be less assertive than in Canada and the US, she managed to command the respect and cooperation of a wide variety of men of various degrees of surliness.

We had a suite, almost a little house, very spacious with lots of nice Moroccan style touches. I liked experiencing the natural insulation of real pise.

"Laura Rudderforth is outstanding. She is interesting, informative, friendly, patient, open to anything and talented. She went out of her way to get to know each and every one of us and respected everyone un-conditionally. She is so organized and so dependable. She just never messes up! She really knows what she is doing at all times. I will really miss her. I liked her a lot."

Wendy A. (Sparta, NJ) on Greece Tour

"Ondrej Strejcek was unfailingly friendly to each member of the group. His attitude and demeanor is very professional, but at the same time we immediately felt that he was our friend. He is enthusiastic about the countries and cultures that we visited, which set a most positive tone for the entire trip. From our experience of taking many trips, I would say that the single most important factor in the success of a trip is the tour leader ... and we were very fortunate to have Ondrej for this tour. He was faultless."

Nancy E. (CA, USA) on Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and Hungary Tour

"The evening meals were excellent with opportunities to try many types of food and to meet many different likes and dislikes. I particularly appreciated the opportunity to try many typical Peruvian foods that had been recommended by my Peruvian friends. The transportation was roomy and comfortable. If you could make the places of interest even closer together, that would be great, but since you cannot shrink the country, the transportation was excellent."
