Travel to Antarctica by Adventures Abroad
Travel in great company with our small group tours with professional tour guides, we have been around for 20 years taking people like you to Antarctica a trip of a life time. Because our tours are small group not more than twenty travel on the same tour you see the real Antarctica. We take a two days sail across the Drake Passage, visit to the 'bottom of the world' somewhat daunting, but rest assured that today some 25-30 ships safely make the voyage each year. With sophisticated satellite navigation and up to the minute weather forecasts, the journey through these wild seas can be enjoyed for the experience. We sail through the spectacular Lemaire Channel to Petermann Island where we can find Adelie Penguins and Blue-eyed Shags. We also try to land at Pleneau Island home to Elephant Seals. In this area there are good chances to encounter Humpback Whales, Minke Whales and Fin Whales.
