I enjoyed ALL the excursions but really liked the visit to the Hill Tribes, Ha Long Bay, Cu Chi Tunnels and the cruise on the Mekong along with the floating markets, Hue s Pagoda, and cooking class. There are no words except awesome to describe Angkor Wat - a must see on my destinations list. I never experienced a boring or uninteresting day! The guides were good. Transportation was certainly comfortable and at times quite interesting! Canoes or junks anyone! Our tour leader handled everything with exceptional grace, leadership and good humor. She was very helpful when presented a question or problem. She has excellent organization skills, is thorough and follows through. She was friendly, did not show favoritism, has a good sense of humor, displays concern and is a good leader. So happy I went.

Always patient and good sense of humour. He [Tour Leader Chris] worked long, hard hours at time and he never showed that he was tired or impatient. He was godlike!

All of the excursions were excellent and the local guides were well informed, very personable and struck a good balance between the amount of information they provided and the need for "quiet time." The junk cruise on Halong Bay was outstanding. Dien Bien Phu and the hill tribes was a look into history and culture not to be missed. We enjoyed every excursion on this trip.

I enjoyed all excursions, but found the ChuChi tunnels very interesting. The temples were all different and extremely interesting. We found all the guides to be very informative, open and interesting. They all had personal stories that moved us and showed a different glimpse of their respective areas. I don t think that any improvement could have been made. They did not shy away from any questions and I think answered all of them with candor and honesty. It certainly improved our knowledge of Vietnam and Cambodia. The meals met and exceeded our expectations. Some of the presentations were amazing. Erin always made meal time fun and entertaining. Erin was and is a gem. She was informative, open and funny and yet maintained good control. We either called her our Fearless Leader or the Countess (she counted us all the time). She mingled with each member of the tour, shared many stories and shared her infectious laugh. We know she toiled deep into the night and still was bright and cheery the next day. We were very impressed with the tour and Erin made it even better.

Superb, first-rate vacation that made me feel like I was truly living an experience. I was immersed in local culture from the first day and so I never felt like an outsider looking in at Vietnam and Cambodia, rather I was experiencing it from the point of view of an insider. Laura is exceptional and is a magnificent ambassador for Adventures. She was unflappable, capable, always cheerful and charming. I never saw her lose her cool with anybody and yet she was very businesslike in how she got things done on the road. No detail was left undone. She overlooked nothing. Laura was den mother, nurse, insider, expert, diplomat - in short she was perfect.

I have been on a number of Adventures Abroad tours and I can say that Laura Rudderforth is among the best of your tour leaders--very possibly the best of all. Nothing was a problem for her. If difficulties arose, she dealt with them very effectively and decisively. She did a number of things to make the tour a very positive experience for all of us. I am sure we all commend her for her good work, attention to detail, and depth of knowledge.
