Cuba's Artistic Pulse
The University of British Columbia's Museum of Anthropology (MOA) is pleased to launch a new cultural travel program for existing and new members. MOA Journeys will give art lovers the opportunity to gain new insights and fresh perspectives on art and culture around the globe. Led by MOA or special guest curators, these trips offer unique cultural encounters that make each journey more than just a vacation.
MOA Journeys debuts with a Fall trip to Cuba to coincide with the exhibition Without Masks: Contemporary Afro-Cuban Art. During the journey, an experienced local guide will unveil mesmerizing Havana and the Cuba beyond. Meanwhile, Orlando Hernández, host and guest-curator of MOA’s exhibit Without Masks, will grant exclusive access to galleries, artists’ studios, marketplaces, and unparalleled cultural experiences.
